It is a mandatory requirement to have an open bank account in Greece when purchasing property. The procedure for opening an account involves several documents that must be presented to the respective bank. We will assist you in obtaining these documents from Bulgarian state institutions, compiling them, and presenting them to the Greek bank. Our lawyers will initiate the procedure for opening a bank account in Greece on your behalf through a notarized power of attorney, so you won’t need to engage in the bureaucratic process.
It is a mandatory requirement to have an AFM (tax number) when purchasing property in Greece. Our accountants will assist you in obtaining this number, and you will need to present a document from the Bulgarian National Revenue Agency (NAP) confirming that you are a taxpayer in Bulgaria or another country. This document must be officially translated into Greek and legalized with an Apostille stamp. Our team of Bulgarian lawyers and certified translators will help you with the issuance and legalization of this document.
The state and notarial fees range between 3.5% and 4.5% of the purchase price of the property as recorded in the notarial deed.
